About Ryan

Ryan Tveter is a 24-year-old racing driver from Oyster Bay, NY with the ambition and goal to race at the highest level in Formula 1 and to become   the first American-born F1 World Champion since Phil Hill in 1961. Ryan is relatively new to the sport and did not come from a karting background with his first race ever at the 2011 Montreal Grand Prix in Formula Ford at age 17 with a fantastic 10th place finish out of 44 cars. Since then he has advanced very quickly and now competes full-time in Europe in the ladder to Formula 1. Ryan's learning curve has been very steep, but he scored 3 podiums in 2014 and finished in the points during his rookie campaign last year in the ultra-competitive and highly-rated FIA Formula 3 European Championship, just one level separating him and Formula 1. In 2016, Ryan drove for Carlin Racing scoring 26 points in the championship, but withdrew after the 8th round of the championship in order to focus on 2017 in a more competitive situation. In 2017, Ryan finished 8th in the ultra-competitive GP3 Series for Trident Motorsport supporting Formula 1 with 3 podiums, 3 separate top-5's, and 78 points scored in the championship helping to propel Trident to 2nd in the team's standings. After such a successful breakthrough season, Ryan is now the highest-ranked American driver currently racing in Europe on the ladder to F1.
